世界咖啡分兩大系列，一種是以巴西爲代表的“硬”咖啡，味道濃烈；另一種是以哥倫比亞爲代表的“軟”咖啡，其味淡香。區別在於產地的海拔高度和種植方法，巴西將咖啡種在丘陵紅壤比較粗放，哥倫比亞產在山地黑土精耕細作。</div>

地處南美洲西北部的哥倫比亞是一個美麗的國家，它的歷史悠久。從遠古時代起，印第安人就在這塊土地上繁衍生息。公元1531年淪爲西班牙殖民地，1819年獲得獨立。1886年改稱現名，以紀念美洲大陸的發現者哥倫布。哥倫比亞，山川秀美、風光旖旎、氣候宜人、四季如春，空氣清新，沁人肺腑。漫步在首都波哥大的街道上，備感輕鬆愉快。青枝綠葉的垂柳，隨着微風的吹拂在空中搖曳；那高大挺拔的棕櫚樹好像一個個古銅膚色的巨人，撐着大傘列隊道旁迎接遠方的來客；盛開的木棉樹張開它那大紅的葉子，好似捧着一顆火熱的心向朋友們致意。</div>

哥倫比亞物產豐富，特別是咖啡、鮮花、黃金和綠寶石被譽爲“四寶”。1808年，一名牧師從法屬安的列斯經委內瑞拉將咖啡首次引入哥倫比亞。今天該國是繼巴西后的第二大咖啡生產國，是世界上最大的阿拉比卡咖啡豆出口國，也是世界上最大的水洗咖啡豆出口國。哥倫比亞咖啡經常被描述爲具有絲一般柔滑的口感，在所有的咖啡中，它的均衡度最好，口感綿軟、柔滑，可以隨時飲用，它獲得了其他咖啡無法企及的讚譽：被譽爲“綠色的金子”。</div>

哥倫比亞咖啡分200多個檔次， 也就是說咖啡的區域性很強。該國的咖啡產區位於安第斯山脈，那裏氣候溫和，空氣潮溼。哥倫比亞有三條科迪耶拉山脈南北向縱貫，正好伸向安第斯山。沿着這些山脈的高地種植着咖啡。山階提供了多樣性氣候，這裏整年都是收穫季節，在不同時期不同種類的咖啡相繼成熟。而且幸運的是，哥倫比亞不像巴西，它不必擔心霜害。這些漂亮的咖啡豆可以像富家子弟腰掛翡翠、頸套項圈那樣很有教養、姿態優雅地生長，讓自己全身的每一個部位都大膽富足而又自由自在地汲取天地之精華，在那個安第斯山脈沉潛往復，從容成長。</div>
