據英國《每日郵報》報道，一項最新研究發現，午睡前先喝一杯咖啡，能讓午覺醒來後精神更好。這是由於短時間的睡眠能幫助大腦清除產生睡意的腺苷，與此同時，因爲咖啡因要20分鐘纔在人體中發揮功效，而這時午睡也剛好結束，因此醒來之後的精神狀況更佳。</p>
<p>
研究人員將這種模式稱爲“咖啡小憩”，他們指出，在午睡前喝杯咖啡，能提高咖啡因對大腦的影響，提高記憶。</p>
<p>
每當人們喝完一杯咖啡，咖啡因會被小腸吸收，然後進入人體血液中，被輸送到大腦，抑制腦細胞膜上的化學物質“腺苷”受體。腺苷能產生自然疲勞感，當其和受體結合後，會減緩神經細胞的活動，從而使人產生睡意。“但當咖啡因鎖住受體時，腺苷反而會加速神經細胞的活動。”約瑟夫·斯特隆伯格解釋道。</p>
<p>
從喝咖啡到感覺不困 大概要20分鐘</p>
<p>
咖啡小憩背後的原理是，自然睡眠能清除大腦中導致睡意的腺苷。這也意味着，不用擔心咖啡會讓你睡不着，事實上，喝咖啡後小憩20分鐘，能明顯降低人體內的腺苷水平，而醒來時咖啡因也正好開始發揮提神功效，從而讓人感到神清氣爽。</p>
<p>
科學家們在英國和日本也已分別進行一系列試驗，證明了咖啡小憩的功效。例如，英國拉夫堡大學的研究人員發現，當因入睡困難而疲倦的受試者體驗一下15分鐘的咖啡小憩後，他們在隨後的模擬駕駛中更少發生錯誤。</p>
<p>
另一項獨立研究發現，咖啡小憩可幫助沒有獲得充足睡眠的人行走很長一段時間。長期沒有睡眠、年齡在24歲的年輕人蔘與了此次試驗。他們需要在睡眠不足的狀態下行走24個小時，中途僅小憩片刻。研究人員將他們分爲兩組，一組採用咖啡小憩，一組在小憩前服用安慰劑。結果發現，喝咖啡的小組表現得更好。</p>
