問：經常喝咖啡真的會“縮胸”嗎?</p>
<p>
答：這種說法其實是對某個科學研究結果的誤讀，目前還沒有證據明確表明經常喝咖啡會“縮胸”。</p>
<p>
早在幾年前，筆者就看到過這樣一則報道：“瑞典科學家的一項最新發現引起很多人的關注，因爲他們指出，女孩每天喝咖啡若超過三杯，她們的乳房會變小!”筆者看到這篇報道的第一反應是這肯定不是真的，怎麼會有科學家去研究胸部大小和咖啡攝取的關係呢，但是在查閱資料後發現，這項研究確實存在。</p>
<p>
雖然這項研究是確實存在的，那麼它的可信度高嗎?其實媒體在報道瑞典隆德大學(Lund University)科研人員的這項研究時，有斷章取義之嫌，狠狠地“標題黨”了一回。發表在《英國癌症雜誌》上的相關論文裏很重要的關於兩種CYP1A2*1F 基因在咖啡攝取與胸部大小關係中的不同影響，被略去了。研究者通過對269名健康女性生活習慣的調查、檢測 CYP1A2*1F 基因類型，並收集她們胸部大小的數據，對這些數據進行統計分析。發現存在 CYP1A2*1F C-allele 基因的實驗對象，每天喝大量咖啡的女孩乳房比咖啡喝得少的女孩要小;而存在CYP1A2*1F A/A 基因的實驗對象，攝入多少咖啡與乳房大小則幾乎沒有什麼聯繫。這樣的調查研究，結果只是發現了一部分人的咖啡攝入量和胸部大小表現出相關性，並不能說明是因爲喝咖啡導致了小胸部，也不表明喝咖啡會進一步導致胸部的變小。就像我們發現雞叫以後太陽就升起了，但實際上並不是因爲雞叫才導致太陽昇起的。</p>
<p>
且不論這項研究的意義何在，得出的結論都不會是“女孩每天喝咖啡若超過三杯，她們的乳房會變小”。這樣的說法，讓人誤以爲如果繼續每天喝3杯咖啡的話，胸部會慢慢變小。要想得出這樣的結論，需要進行的實驗是：讓一組人每天喝3杯咖啡、一組人每天喝1杯咖啡、一組人什麼也不喝。除此之外，還得要求這三組人的其他飲食、生活作息完全一致。一段時間以後，看看她們的胸部大小有什麼變化，是變大了，還是變小了。換句話說，就是要在排除了其他所有因素的影響後，考察咖啡以及攝取咖啡的量對同一個人胸部變化的影響。</p>
<p>
所以說，“經常喝咖啡會縮胸”這個說法是對科學研究結果的又一次誤讀，目前還沒有證據明確表明“女孩每天喝咖啡若超過三杯，她們的乳房會變小”，所以愛喝咖啡的姑娘們還是一如既往放心地喝吧。</p>
